Gem Le
Director of Behavioral and Clinical Sciences
Juul Labs

Gem Le is the director of behavioral and clinical sciences at Juul Labs, where she has led studies in regulatory science for more than five years. She has more than 20 years of experience in public health research and has served as principal investigator and co-investigator on numerous studies. 

Prior to Juul Labs, Le was a cancer epidemiologist at University of California, San Francisco and at the Cancer Prevention Institute of California for over 10 years. She conducted research across the cancer control and prevention continuum, from cancer etiology and surveillance to behavioral intervention studies, including tobacco cessation, to reduce the risk of cancer.

Le has served as a consulting assistant professor at Stanford University School of Medicine and as a faculty lecturer at San Francisco State University and California State University East Bay. Le has a doctorate in epidemiology from the University of California Berkeley and a master’s degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University. ‍
